Rebecca Cullinan graduated from UC Davis in 2015 with a bachelor of science in Human Development and a minor in Education. She furthered her career development through working in multiple preschools as well as a kindergarten classroom and spent 2 years as an intern at the lab school for UC Davis. There, she learned to design curriculum and lead the toddler classroom. She has been working with children spanning from just several days to 12 years old for over 15 years in many different settings and group sizes, and has always had a passion for teaching young children.
She started her childcare career around the age of ten by watching some of the children in the neighborhood. Her clientele quickly grew as more and more young families moved to the area. Rebecca is a third generation San Franciscan and most of her large extended family is nearby, providing opportunity to share experiences. Her sense of community was further fostered as she went through St. Gabriel's Elementary School and high school at Saint Ignatius College Preparatory. She learned time management as she juggled her education, year-round varsity sports, and her babysitting business, which filled any free nights and weekends. Her skills grew as she planned birthday parties, summer camps, and activities for the children she watched. By her sophomore year she knew she wanted to eventually start her own day care and preschool business and started volunteering at nearby preschools.
Rebecca is an avid Giants fan, even spending some warmer days in the cove. She loves sports and grew up playing soccer before switching to water polo in high school and then playing through college and beyond. When she isn't competing or working, she loves to be out on adventures and explore the underwater world while scuba diving. Her mother is a registered dietitian, so growing up, learning about food was important. She has a passion for cooking and baking and loves to explore new ideas and share them with others.
